NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE
Nebraska City Public Schools (Otoe County School District 66-0111) proposes to sell "as-is" the property commonly known as "2nd Avenue School" and legally described as Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block 18, Nebraska City Proper, Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska by sealed bit.
Minimum Bid: $120,000.00
Sale will be according to Board Policy 3019-Sale or Disposal of School Property and Nebraska Revised Statute 79-10,114, as amended.
Sealed bids may be submitted to Rex Pfeil, Superintendent, Nebraska City Public Schools, 1700 14th Avenue Nebraska City, Nebraska 68410. Proposals are to be mailed or hand delivered to this address and clearly marked 2nd Avenue School Bid at any time prior to 2:00 p.m. on February 5, 2020. Proposals received after that time will not be considered. Bids will be opened on that date and time, and results will be forwarded to the Board of Education for consideration of acceptance on February 10, 2020.
All prospective bidders may inspect the property by appointment prior to submitting a bid by contacting the Superintendent at 402-873-6033.
The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids presented, or to accept and bid advantageous to the District.
A tie by qualified bidders for the highest bid will be decided by random. The sale is subject to a signed Purchase Agreement with customary provisions, and a letter from a financial institution or lending agency demonstrating that the bid purchase price is available for a cash sale within forty-five (45) days of acceptance.
